Pitt Cyber Announces Three New Affiliate Scholars

Pitt Cyber announced today that Daqing He, Judy Cameron, and Adriana Kovashka are joining the institute as affiliate scholars.

Pitt Cyber affiliate scholars are drawn from faculty across the University of Pittsburgh and are selected for their excellence in cyber-themed research and teaching. Affiliate scholars are a source for transdisciplinary collaboration and innovation across Pitt and beyond.

Daqing He is a professor at the School of Computing and Information and associate chair of the Department of Informatics and Networked Systems. He is affiliated with the Intelligent Systems Program and is the director of the Information Retrieval, Integration and Synthesis research lab.

Judy Cameron is a professor of psychiatry. In addition to her behavioral neuroscience research, she works extensively on youth STEM education. She is the director of Pitt Science Outreach and Pittsburgh DataWorks, which hosts the Pittsburgh DataJam for high school students.

Adriana Kovashka is an assistant professor at the School of Computing and Information. Her primary research area is computer vision, with overlap in machine learning, information retrieval, crowdsourcing, and natural language processing.
