Pitt Cyber announced two new affiliate scholars today:  Stephen Lee and Lingfei Wu.

Pitt Cyber affiliate scholars are drawn from faculty across the University of Pittsburgh and are selected for their excellence in cyber-themed research and teaching. Affiliate scholars are a source for transdisciplinary collaboration and innovation across Pitt and beyond.

Pitt Cyber announced Harvey Rishikof is joining the Institute as an affiliate practice scholar. Rishikof is the director of cybersecurity at the Applied Research Laboratory for Intelligence and Security at the University of Maryland and a visiting professor of law at Temple University Beasley School of Law. Rishikof is senior counselor to the American Bar Association Standing Committee on Law and National Security. Rishikof advises extensively on cybersecurity policy and national security legal issues.

The University of Pittsburgh Institute for Cyber Law, Policy, and Security (Pitt Cyber) announced today that Professor Michael Colaresi will serve as the Institute’s research and academic director.

Pitt Cyber is pleased to announce the grant recipients of its third round of Pitt Cyber Accelerator Grants (PCAG).

The grants to Pitt faculty provide initial funding for novel and innovative projects that advance Pitt Cyber’s mission:  to bring the breadth of one of the world’s leading public research universities to bear on the critical questions of networks, data, and algorithms, with a focus on the ever-changing gaps among law, policy, and technology.

The University of Pittsburgh’s School of Computing and Information announced the launch of a new Professional Institute aimed at helping mid-career tech professionals in rapidly changing fields develop their job skills. The programs are taught by leading industry professionals and leverage the knowledge of SCI, the School of Law, Graduate School of Public and International Affairs and Pitt Cyber.
